“Our customers expect a certain level of customer service and we want to ensure that their requests are being met. Our biggest problem was the inability for our guests to communicate with our staff. We were offering services such as the beach shuttle but without the proper communication between our guests and staff, we were offering a disservice to them. Our end goal is to offer a Maritime experience to our guests with 5-star products and service” Says General Manger Craig Jones.
BamText Service Request allows guests staying at the resort to text in any service requests they may have. Whether it be requesting the beach shuttle or ordering food or beverage from their cottages, BamText Service Request was implemented to ensure the highest level of customer service and customer satisfaction.
The BamText Service Request number is displayed on signage in all accommodations and at the beach, letting guests know if they require any assistance to please text requests to the number provided. The request is then routed directly to Rodd Resort staff in real-time.
“BamText Service Request allows us to set an expectation for our guests. For example, if a guest sends us a service request we can communicate back to them letting them know their request has been received and they should be expecting service within 10 minutes,” explains Craig Jones.
All service requests are sent to BamText and are stored with a date and time stamp on the Bamtext online dashboard. This allows General Manger, Craig Jones, to see what his guests are requesting. If he starts to see trends developing in a certain area, then he knows there is room for discussion.
“An area in which the service request system is used a lot is for our beach shuttle pick up. We have a dedicated BamText Service Request number for beach pick-ups only. A big benefit for using BamText for our beach shuttle is the affordability. BamText is a much cheaper alternative than running a phone line down to the beach, not to mention many people choose text messaging over calling!” says Jones.
