To vote, attendees simply text the name of their favourite ribber to Kamloops Bamtext Voting Number. As soon as an attendee votes, he/she receives an auto-reply confirming the vote was received. This auto-reply is also used to promote an event sponsor’s product or service. At the end of the event, the votes are automatically tallied and sent to the organizers which then is announced live at the event!
“Without a doubt, the biggest advantage of Bamtext Voting is the efficiency. There is no additional infrastructure we need to develop. The only thing we need to do is create our signs for the event and Bamtext takes care of the rest. With an event this size, volunteer time is a commodity and we need to ensure we are utilizing our volunteers properly,” explains Anderson.
