Do you love Cider? We sure do, which is why we are so excited to work with Canada’s Largest Cider Festival again this year. It is held at Yonge and Dundas Square, in Toronto Ontario.

Partnering with Nordstrom and Bass Pro Shops, Toronto Cider Festival brings together 19 Cider Vendors and 50 Taps focusing on Ontario Craft Ciders and National and International Brands right to the busiest intersection in Canada.

“Our challenge was to keep our target market, (Millennials) engaged and we knew we required an interactive form of participation to do so. When we heard about BamText Voting and how easy it was for our patrons and our staff to use, it was an easy decision.” says event organizer Ijaz Jamal.

BamText voting, assigns the event organizer with a 10-digit local phone number which is then displayed on signage at the event.  Participants then text in their people's choice vote and tallied results are sent directly to you, the organizer!

“We chose BamText Voting over other methods of voting because of their ease of use. The BamText Team is easy to work with and they always deliver results. We have so many moving parts and Bam Text Voting provides us with peace of mind. They sent us the results exactly when we requested and we were able to announce the winner live in front of 3,000 attendees.”

Having a people’s choice award at your food and drink festival helps create a well-rounded event. It is a value-added component for both, the attendees and the teams participating in the event.

“BamText allows us to engage with our attendees and with our vendors who are always very excited by the possibility of winning the People’s Choice Award, it helps create a fun competition. Not only is there value in adding a competition but it also creates a value for our sponsorship packages,” says Jamal.

When an attendee’s texts in their vote for their favorite, they receive an auto- reply notifying them their vote has been received. This auto-reply can also be used to promote a sponsor’s product or service!

“The auto-reply has become a very important part of the sponsor package.” says Jamal.

Toronto Cider Festival has had large brands such as County Cider Co. and Angry Orchard use the auto-reply to promote their products to the attendees.

With the help of the auto reply, 90% of our events run BamText Voting on a no cost basis and some events are able to use BamText Voting as a revenue stream.

“Without BamText Voting, we simply would not be able to have a people’s choice award which would be a huge loss for the culture we have created in our event! As an Event Management Professor at George Browns College, I am always recommending BamText Voting to various event teams!”states Jamal
